  • Yes. Psychologists are licensed by a provincial regulatory body. I am licensed in the provinces of Ontario and Nova Scotia. Therefore, I can provide psychological services only to those who are living in Ontario or Nova Scotia.

  • For clients in Ontario, the rate is $280 for a 50-minute session.

    For clients in Nova Scotia, the rate is $230 for a 50-minute session .

    Payment can be made through credit card or e-transfer.

    Psychology services are covered by most employee benefit and private health insurance plans. You will receive a receipt that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

  • For clients interested in therapy, I offer sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday between 8am - 3pm EST (9am - 4pm AST).

    For clinicians interested in supervision or consultation, please contact me to discuss scheduling.

  • Services are provided online and we will meet over a secure video conferencing system.

  • Although virtual therapy has existed for over 20 years, it has become more widely adopted during the COVID-19 pandemic.

    Research has shown virtual therapy to be as effective as in-person therapy for various mental health concerns. Additionally, virtual therapy offers the benefits of convenience, flexibility, and ease of access.

    In deciding if virtual therapy is for you, you should consider your personal preferences, comfort using technology, and therapy needs.

  • Most clients schedule sessions for a “clinical hour,” which is 50 minutes for us to meet and 10 minutes for me to do documentation.

  • I encourage clients to commit to scheduling weekly or biweekly sessions at the beginning to build a good foundation in our work and get momentum. After that, we can decide together the schedule of sessions that meets your needs.

  • It depends. Some people may just need help navigating a specific issue, and this may be accomplished in several months. Most of the clients I work with are working through a variety of concerns and want to do deeper work that requires longer-term support.

    It’s also very common for clients to have seen enough progress after a certain amount of time and then choose to attend less frequently to maintain their progress and address new issues as they arise.

    It is entirely up to you - you can do therapy for however short or long a time that is of benefit to you.

  • The fit between a client and therapist is a key factor in therapy success. There is no therapist who works well with everyone, and you deserve a therapist who you trust and feel connected with.
